Industry Benchmarking Dashboard

Compare your performance against other Firefish clients in your sector.

The Benchmark dashboard compares data for an average user from your system against a benchmark user across key KPIs. The benchmark data used in the comparison is created from an average of other Firefish client's anonymised data.

This tool is available for Firefish Super Users, who can also edit the settings if needed.

Firefish Recruitment Managers, Recruiters and Compliance Users are also able to view the Benchmark dashboard (but not make any changes).

Benchmarking is enabled by default, but if you want to opt out, Super Users can do so in the Benchmark Settings page (Settings > System Configuration > Benchmark)

How is Benchmark data calculated?

Your average user data is updated live, so as soon as a user places a candidate for example, this will be reflected in your average figures.

The Benchmark data will update at the end of every month. This means you will see only your own  average data when viewing data for the current month, but you will also be able to see Benchmark data when viewing by Last Month or Last Quarter for example.

Benchmark data is anonymised, and is gathered monthly across all opted-in clients. Clients that opt out will be removed from further data gathering but their anonymised data collected up to that point will remain in the dataset. No private information is ever shared.

Benchmark Settings

Within the Benchmark settings page (Settings > System Configuration > Benchmark), you can change:

  • The sector against which your data is being compared to – by default, this will be the same sector as your own (which can be found in Settings > Account & Billing).
  • The Benchmark data colour – by default, the Benchmark data colour will match the Hyperlinks System Colour (set in Settings > System Configuration > Branding). The colour of your data will always match your Primary System Colour (set in Settings > System Configuration > Branding).
  • Billing Users – by default, any users which are set up for billing will appear in this list and their totals will contribute to your average data, but you can switch them off and/or adjust whether their data counts towards the averages shown for Permanent and Contract workflows, where appropriate.
