Data Migration - Testing your Data

Step-by-step guidance for reviewing your migrated data

General Guidelines

  • Check only records unchanged since your backup.

  • Be aware of Phase 1 limitations:

    • Some documents or files may take longer to appear.

    • For Full Migrations, jobs may not appear until later phases.

  • Report any missing or incorrect data to your Migration Consultant and provide screenshots from your curent software to demonstrate.

Candidate Records

  • Verify basic contact information (name, phone numbers, emails).

  • Check employment details, pay info, and coding/preferences.

  • Review additional/custom fields, especially non-standard compliance or client-specific fields.

  • Check the actions/history panel for logged emails, calls, and status changes (if applicable).

  • Review associated documentsโ€”these may appear in later phases.

Contacts & Companies

  • Confirm all key fields have migrated correctly.

  • Ensure relationships (e.g., candidate โ†’ company, candidate โ†’ contact) are preserved.

Jobs & Placements (Full Migrations)

  • Check job titles, assigned contacts and companies, coding information, and pay details.

  • Verify placement records show the correct candidate assignments and dates.

  • Check recruitment history under candidate profiles.

  • Review any job-related documents; some may appear later.

  • Ensure workflow stages (e.g., considering, interview, placed) reflect your previous system.
