Probationary Review Period Setting

User Permissions – View Other Users To Do Lists

CV Upload Candidate Action

Add Candidate Source column to the Candidate Fallout Report

Firefish Contact API

New User Permissions

Firefish Candidate API

We have now updated the Firefish API to output Candidate data.

Users can now use the ‘Candidate API’ to integrate data from Firefish into other platforms, such as Power BI, Mailchimp or Timesheet Portal.

The Candidate API will give users the ability to search for candidates using the Date, Name, Address, etc. You can also use the API to view individual candidate Details, References, Preferences and Pay Details using the candidate ID.

All the data that is currently available on the ‘Export Candidates’ standard report is now available in the Candidate API. We will also be including Candidate’s Employment, Education, Certification and Professional Membership data which will be released in the coming weeks.

If you would like access to the Candidate API, get in touch with Support!

New Job Board – ACCA Careers

We have now added the integration for ACCA Careers Job Board (part of the Madgex Group).

Users can set up their ACCA Careers integration by navigating to Settings > Integrations > Job Boards and clicking Add, the selecting ACCA Careers from the available options.

Once set up, a user can select ACCA Careers from the available job board options on the Reach tab of an advert:

You will then be prompted to fill out all the fields required for posting:

Once posted, ACCA Careers offers applications into Firefish via a URL Redirect. This means candidates applying on the job board will be redirected to the Firefish Client Web Advert to complete their application.

Probationary Review Period Setting

As suggested on the User Community, we have added a setting which controls how long a new Candidate will appear under the Probationary Reviews quick link on the dashboard.

This will allow clients to customise the length of their own probationary review periods.

The new setting has been added to Settings > Job Configuration > Permanent Workflow > Automation Rules.

The default value will be 3 months, which is the current probationary review period on the system. When a user changes this setting, it will affect future placements, not currently existing ones.

User Permissions – View Other Users To Do Lists

We have made some small improvements to the following setting: Settings > User Management > User Permissions > View Other Users To Do Lists.

This setting now also controls whether the User dropdown is visible on the Dashboard, To Do lists and Quick Links.

If a user type does not have this permission checked, then the User dropdown will no longer be visible

CV Upload Candidate Action

We've added a new candidate action to Firefish, stating when a candidate uploads a CV within their portal login!

This action is created any time a candidate uploads a new CV via the Candidate Portal and therefore is a great indicator to a Recruiter that a candidate is potentially back on the market!

This was a suggestion on our Community with 31 votes!

The new action appears in the recent activity of the candidate record:

And is also recorded as an item on a new To Do List titled CV Uploaded, within the Candidate Activity section of the To Do Lists.

This will appear for the Recruiter User that is selected as the Owner on a candidate record. If there is no candidate ownership, no To Do List item will be created:

A note will also be recorded against the To Do List item:

Add Candidate Source column to the Candidate Fallout Report

We have added a new column to the candidate fallout standard report that sits within the Adverts module.

This will show the candidate source selected when a candidate has applied to an advert. If there has been no source selected ‘No source available’ will show in this column.

This column has been added to the end of the report:

Firefish Contact API

We have now updated the Firefish API to output Contact data.

Users can now use the ‘Contact API’ to integrate data from Firefish into other platforms, such as Power BI, Mailchimp or Timesheet Portal.

The Contact API will give users the ability to search for contacts using the Date, Name, Email Address, etc. You can also use the API to view individual contact Details and Hiring Preferences using the contact ID.

All the data that is currently available on the ‘Export Contacts’ standard report is now available in the Contact API.

Any clients who have access to the ‘Candidate, Placements & Offers API’ already will not need to request new access to this API.

Firefish Candidate API Updated

As we advised a few weeks ago we have now updated the Candidate API to include Employment, Languages, Education, Certification and Professional Membership data to the Candidate API.

You can also use the Candidate API to view individual candidate Employment, Education, Certification and Professional Memberships using the candidate ID.

ADDITIONAL CHANGES

New User Permissions

We have added 3 new User Permissions which can be accessed by Superusers in Settings>User Management>User Permissions

Print

Currently this permission controls whether a user can print any screen in Firefish (by right clicking and selecting Print).

Archiving Companies and Contacts

These permissions are set to enabled by default ensuring no change to current User access to these features.

Full information on user permissions can be found on the following Fish Tank Page:
