Overview
Properties allow you to configure key settings in Firefish, including:
- Candidate Certifications
- Candidate Statuses for Permanent and/or Contract
- Company Terms
- Custom Job Fields for Permanent and/or Contract Jobs
- Interview Stages
To access Properties, click the cog icon in the top menu, then select System Configuration from the dropdown.
Use the Filter by field to choose the area you want to edit.
Enterprise Users:
On Secondary sites, you can only access Custom Job Fields and Candidate Date of Birth fields. All properties are accessible from the Primary site.
Rename a Property
Certain properties can be renamed by Super Users:
- Hover over a property to see a blue pencil icon.
- Click the icon to edit the name.
- Click Save in the bottom-right corner.
Note : Renaming a property updates it system-wide.
For Enterprise users, changes apply across all sites.
Edit or Disable a Property
Some properties, such as Custom Job Fields, can be enabled or disabled:
- Locate the property in Properties Settings.
- Use the switch to enable or disable it on:
- Job Summary
- Offer/Placement Stage
- Both
- Set whether the field is mandatory or non-mandatory.
Enterprise Users: Custom Job Fields can be enabled/disabled per site, allowing different configurations across multiple sites.
Add, Edit, and Sort Drop-down Values
To modify drop-down values:
- Select the Property you want to edit.
- Click +Add Item to create a new value.
- Enter the name and click Save.
- To edit an existing value, click into the text field, update it, and click Save.
- To sort values, click and drag the move icon next to a value to rearrange it.
Delete Drop-down Values
To remove a drop-down value:
- Click the red bin icon next to the value.
- If the value is in use, confirm deletion when prompted.
🚨 Important:
Deleted values cannot be restored. You may create a new value, but it will not be linked to previous records.
Exception: Candidate Certifications and Candidate Permanent/Contract Statuses use a soft-delete, allowing restoration if needed.
