How to install Outlook Add-in and Gmail Add-in

The Firefish Email Add‑Ins allow you to log and send emails directly from your Outlook or Gmail inbox into Firefish, giving you a seamless way to manage communications with candidates and contacts. By integrating your inbox with Firefish, you’ll save time, improve visibility of conversations across your team, and ensure consistent record‑keeping.

This guide covers how to install the Firefish Email Add‑In depending on your email system — whether you use Outlook (desktop or web) or Gmail.

Installing the Outlook Add-in

The Outlook Add-in is available to install directly from Microsoft's Office Store.

Installing the Outlook Add-in will differ slightly depending on whether you're using Outlook on the app or via your browser. You'll find installation instructions for both options below.

Outlook App

Check out this video or follow the steps below to install:

1. Click All Apps in the 'Home' panel, then Add Apps.

2. Using the Search field at the top right of the page, search for 'Firefish'.

3. Next, click Add and wait for the add-in to be installed.

4. Once you close the Add-ins pop up window, you'll see the Firefish icon has appeared on Outlook under the Home tab. Click the Firefish icon to get started.

5. Enter your Firefish URL (the website you use to login to Firefish) then click Sign In. Next, enter your Firefish username and password and click OK to authorise.

Now you can start using the Outlook Add-in.


Outlook Online (Through web browser) 

Check out this video or follow the steps below to install:

1. Click the Apps button in the top right of an email, then select Add Apps. 

2. You'll be redirected to Microsoft App Store where you can search for 'Firefish'.

3. Click on 'Firefish' then 'Add'.

4. Once installed, go back to your email inbox and select an email. You will notice that the Firefish icon now shows in the top right. Click this to begin logging in. 

5. Enter your Firefish URL (the website you use to login to Firefish) then click Sign In. You can then enter your Firefish username and password and click OK to authorise.

Now you can start using the Outlook Add-in.


Installing the Gmail Add-in

The Gmail Add-in is available to install directly from G Suite Marketplace.

Check out this video or follow the steps below to install:

1. From your Gmail inbox, click the + icon on the right hand side toolbar - Google Workplace Marketplace will open in a new window.

2. Using the Search field at the top right of the page, search for 'Firefish'.

3. Next, click the 'Firefish for Gmail' tile then 'Install'.

4. Follow the Gmail setup wizard by choosing which account to install the add-in to, and allowing the described permissions. You'll then see a message confirming the add-in has been installed.

5. Go back to your inbox and you should see the Firefish icon added to your right hand side toolbar. Click the icon to open the add-in.

6. Click Authorise then enter your Firefish URL (the website you use to login to Firefish) then click Sign In. You can then enter your Firefish username and password and click OK to authorise.

Now you can start using the Gmail Add-in.
