Super Users can reset any user's password

Quick Guide to Resetting User Passwords

Resetting a user’s password in Firefish is quick and easy. Whether you’re a Super User or the user themselves, here’s how to get it done:


For Users

If you’ve forgotten your password, you can use the self-service option:

  1. Go to the login page and click Forgotten Password.

  2. Enter your email address, click Submit.

  3. A temporary password will be sent to you, allowing you to log in and create a new password.

For Super Users

Super Users can quickly and easily reset any user’s password without contacting support. Follow these steps:

  1. Access User Management
    Navigate to Settings > User Management > Users, where you’ll find a list of active users.

  2. Find the User
    Locate the user whose password you want to reset. Under the Actions column, click the cog icon and select Reset Password.

  3. Reset the Password
    A side panel will appear displaying the reset password email options.
    Send Email: Sends the temporary password directly to the user.
    Skip Email: Allows you to share the temporary password manually.

✏️Note: you must Skip or Send the password before it will become activepwreset5

Important: If you skip the email, make sure to note the temporary password, as it won’t be shown again


Additional Information

  • The temporary password expires 24 hours after it’s generated.
  • Users will be prompted to set a new password upon logging in.

Resetting passwords is streamlined and secure, ensuring minimal downtime for users.
