System/Personal Emails Automatically Connecting to Incorrect Email Address

This help guide is to assist when your email host is automatically connecting to an email address you do not intend to use for your personal or system emails within Firefish.

On occasion, some users accidentally sync up the wrong email address to either their personal or system emails on Firefish. When syncing either your personal or system emails, you are redirected to your email host's login page, and sometimes it will automatically detect and log in to the main email address used on your device.

To resolve this you will first of all need to go to logout of your emails on Firefish. If this is occurring within your personal emails to go Hello, [Your Name] > My Integrations, and if the problem is occurring within your system emails go to Settings > Integrations. 

Once you're on the correct page, click the Logout button on the right hand side: 

Once you have logged out of your emails on Firefish you should click the three dots in the top right hand corner of your browser and choose to open A New Incognito Window or New InPrivate Window (this is determined by which browser you use). You will then be redirected to a new browser screen with a dark background: 



You should then navigate back to Firefish as you normally would access it, either searching in the URL bar or using any pre-saved bookmarks on your device. You should login as normal and navigate back to either the personal or system email page which you were on earlier. 

From here you can click the login button on the right hand side: 

You will then be redirected to a page owned by your email host and you will be prompted for your email address and password. Please note that these are the credentials used for the email address you are looking to connect, and are not the same as your Firefish login. 

Once you have completed the steps you will be rerouted back to Firefish. You should scroll down to the bottom of the page and enter your email address where highlighted, then press Test & Save.
