Showcase your Candidate & Hiring Manager's Positive Experiences on your Website Using the Firefish Testimonial Plugin
The Firefish Testimonial Plugin allows you to create and manage testimonials from both hiring managers and candidates. These testimonials can include quotes, images, and video links, making them a great way to showcase your company’s experiences and success stories.
Managing Testimonials
The Testimonial Plugin can be accessed via Website > Testimonial Plugin in the CMS.
Testimonial List Page
This page provides an overview of existing testimonials. It includes the following columns:

Checkbox – Select multiple records to delete.

Re-order Icon – Drag and drop testimonials to adjust their display order.

Created By – Displays the user who created the testimonial.

Title – The testimonial’s title.
-
Clicking the view page icon opens the testimonial in a new tab.

Featured Card Status - shows whether a testimonial is featured or not

Green – Enabled

Red – Disabled

- List Page - shows whether the testimonial is visible on your list pages
- Green - Visible
- Red - Hidden

Testimonial Page Status - the published status for your testimonial

Green – Published & live

Orange – Scheduled for future publishing

Red – Draft (no set publish date)

Published Date – Shows when the testimonial went live.

Tags – Displays the tags assigned to the testimonial.
Actions

Edit – Click the ✏️ (pencil) icon to modify the testimonial.

Delete – Click the 🗑️ (trashcan) icon to remove a testimonial.

A confirmation prompt will appear before deletion.

- + Add New - Create a new testimonial for your site
Creating & Editing Testimonials
Adding a New Testimonial
To add a new testimonial:

Click the + Add New button at the top of the page.

The Edit Testimonial side panel will appear.
Note: To display testimonials on your website, you must create a content page with the page type set to Testimonial Plugin.
Testimonial Edit Panel: Tab Structure
The Edit Testimonial panel consists of four main tabs:
1. Featured Card
Controls the visibility and preview content of testimonials.

Enabled Toggle – Enables or disables the featured card for display.

Image – Upload an image using drag-and-drop or file browsing. Supported formats: .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .png.

Text – A short introduction for the testimonial.

Includes a Copy from Content button to auto-fill the introduction from the main content.

Tags – Helps categorize testimonials for filtering on the website.
2. Testimonial Page
Manages the main content and publication settings.

Title – The testimonial’s title, displayed on the website.
-
Image – Upload an image for the testimonial.
-
Content – Enter the main testimonial text. You can also embed images, videos, or custom HTML.

Publish Date/Time – Schedule when the testimonial goes live. If a future date is set, the testimonial will remain unpublished until that date.
3. SEO
Optimizes the testimonial for search engines and social media.

SEO Title – Automatically generated but can be edited.

Keywords – Helps improve search ranking.
-
Description – Summary of the testimonial for SEO.
-
Social Image – Specify an image for sharing on social media.

Use file names without spaces, numbers, or special characters (e.g.,
TestimonialImageOne.png
). -
Validate social post previews using these tools:

URL – A read-only field with the testimonial’s URL. Click to copy.
- Suggestions - Use the suggest wand in each section to automatically generate relevant SEO content using the testimonial title and content
4. Settings
Controls additional testimonial details.

List Page Toggle – Determines whether the testimonial appears on the Testimonial list page.

Type – Specifies if the testimonial is from a Contact or Candidate.

Name – The individual’s name.
-
Company – Their associated company.
-
Job Role – Their position/title.
