Manual Registration
Choose People on the top menu, then New Person from the menu that appears:
On the New Person screen the surname and email address search helps you to avoid creating duplicates. Search by surname or email address first to make sure the person does not exist already as a contact or candidate in your database. If there is a no match you can them simply select Create New Candidate.
If there is a match on the surname or email address, and the person already exists, then press Activate or Update on the relevant column to activate them as a candidate or contact on an existing record or update the key personal information.

If you have the Ownership field enabled for candidates, this will default to the user creating the record. If you don't have Ownership enabled but would like it, super users can email support to request this.
Email Add-in
The Firefish email add-in for Outlook allows you to upload emails you have received into Firefish as well as create new contacts and candidates. You can also automatically log all of your responses to your candidates and contacts directly from Outlook.

LinkedIn Chrome Extension
The Firefish Chrome Extension for LinkedIn allows you to seamlessly create and update candidate and contact records in your Firefish database. The extension works by reading a person's LinkedIn Profile, and then automatically populating the fields with relevant information.

Website Registration
Candidates can register to your database via your Firefish Website by using the Register button within the header.
Upon selecting the register button the candidate will be taken to the registration form. You can customise what questions are asked at the point of registration through your **Candidate Registration Forms(link to be added)**.
Advert Registration
When a candidate applies to an advert on your Firefish Website if they don't already have a record associated to the email address they are applying with then a new record will be created.
Candidate can apply/register via an advert by hitting the apply button on the Advert Details page of your website.
Upon selecting the apply button the candidate will be taken to the advert application form. You can customise what questions are asked at this point through your **Candidate Registration Forms(link to be added)**.
