Release highlights: New Site Visit note type, auto-attached Job Profile emails, improved pay tab, and enhanced company search filters. API updates include optional candidate source, datetime job search, and instant messaging support. Plus, new Kulea.

🔧 CRM Updates

New Company Note Type: Site Visit (All Plans)

• What’s new: A new “Site Visit” note type is now available when adding a note via Company > Tasks > Notes.
• Benefit: Makes it easier to log on-site meetings distinctly from emails or general notes.
• Also appears in: Recent Activity feed, Reports Dashboard, and API.
  
  

Job Profile Document Now Attached to HR Emails at Placement (All Plans)

• What’s new: When a Job Profile is uploaded to a Job’s Summary tab, it’s now included in HR emails triggered at placement.
• Benefit: Automates document sharing during the placement process for both Permanent and Contract workflows.
• Applies to: Permanent and Contract workflows.
  
  

Payment and Engagement Type Fields Reordered on Candidate Pay Tab (All Plans)

• What’s new: Payment Type now appears above Engagement Type on the Candidate > Pay tab.
• Benefit: Improves visibility of key information when reviewing or editing pay details.
• Note: UI-only update – no change to field behaviour.

Parent & Company Child Search Parameters (All Plans)

• What’s new: New checkboxes let users include or exclude Parent and Child company types in Company Search.
• Benefit: Helps narrow search results more effectively.
• Note: Companies marked as both Parent and Child will only appear as Parent for now – an update is coming.

AWR Review Setting Moved and No Longer Tied to Timesheets (All Plans)

• What’s new: The AWR Review setting has been moved to the Placements tab in Job Configuration and is no longer linked to Timesheets.
• Benefit: Easier access and flexibility, regardless of Timesheet settings.

Info Text Added to Clarify Contract PDF Saving (All Plans)

• What’s new: New message added under “Save Final Contract on placement as PDF” setting in the Document Library: A final e-signed contract will always be saved as PDF.
• Benefit: Communicates expected behaviour for legal and security compliance.

🔌 Integrations

Candidate API – Source Field No Longer Mandatory (All Plans)

• What’s new: The “Source” field is now optional when updating candidate records via the API and no longer updates the source on the profile.
• Benefit: Simplifies API usage and prevents unintended data changes.

Instant Messaging via Custom API (All Plans)

• What’s new: Clients can now send Instant Messages using Custom API profiles with the “Communications” scope enabled.
• Benefit: Enables controlled, provider-specific instant messaging via API.
• Note: The Provider dropdown only appears if more than one provider is available.

Public API – Allowing Datetimes in Job Search Endpoint (All Plans)

• What’s new: The Job Search endpoint now supports ISO-8601 datetime format in addition to date-only format.
• Benefit: Adds flexibility for precise date/time filtering in integrations.

Kulea.ma Integration (All Plans)

• What’s new: A New integration has been added in Automation settings. Firefish now generates a Client ID and Secret to connect with Kulea.ma profiles.
• Benefit: Streamlines marketing automation workflows with Kulea.ma.

Updating Guardian Jobs Product (All Plans)

• What’s new: “Bronze Job Ad – Unbranded” has been replaced with “Agency Branded Job Ads.”
• Benefit: Automatically upgrades branding for all clients currently using the older product.

To improve clarity, the Payment Type field now appears at the top of the Candidate > Pay tab, with Engagement Type (when applicable) shown directly underneath. 

This change helps users see the most relevant context first when reviewing or editing pay details. No changes have been made to field behaviour; this is a UI-only update.

Parent & Company Child Search Parameters 

Version(s): Basic/Professional/Enterprise 

Users can now filter Company Search results by Parent and Child company types using two new checkboxes added below the keywords search box. These will be ticked by default to return all companies: 

Unticking either option will exclude that company type from the results, helping users narrow their searches more effectively. The Parent label and the Child label are still dynamically updated in Settings > Company Configuration > General > Automation. 

For the moment, if a company is a Parent and a Child, it will only be returned in searches for Parent companies. We have a follow on coming that will make these companies show when searching for Parent and Child companies.

AWR Review Setting Moved and No Longer Tied to Timesheets

The AWR Review setting has been moved to the Placements tab in Job Configuration, making it easier to find and use as part of the placement workflow.  

The setting is now independent of the Timesheets toggle, meaning AWR can be used whether Timesheets are enabled or not. Other than that, there is no change to how it functions.

Info Text Added to Clarify Contract PDF Saving

New info text has been added beneath the “Save Final Contract on placement as PDF” setting in the Document Library for both Candidate and Employer Contracts. 

The message now reads: 
“A final e-signed contract will always be saved as PDF.” 

This reflects the expected behaviour; e-signed contracts must be saved as PDFs for legal and security reasons, regardless of the setting.

Instant Messaging via Custom API

We have improved Instant Messaging in Firefish by allowing our clients to be able to send an Instant Message using a Custom API profile. Clients can now toggle on Instant Messaging in their Custom API profile side panel when the “Communications” scope is ticked.  

The “Instant Messages” toggle will only appear once the “Communications” scope is ticked and will default to disabled.  

Sending an Instant Message remains the same as before but will now give the client the choice of what provider they would like to send the message within the new “Provider” dropdown that only appears when “Instant Message” is selected and there is more than one provider available.  

If there is only one provider with Instant Messaging, then the “Provider” dropdown is not shown, and the Instant Message will be sent using the provider.

Public API - Allowing Datetimes in Job Search Endpoint

The Job API now supports date-time search as an optional feature. Users can continue to filter results in Date only format or the user can perform a search using ISO-8601 date time search.

Kulea.ma Integration

“Kulea.ma” integration has been added to the “Automation” settings page. The integration will generate a Client ID and Secret for our customers to connect Firefish to their Kulea.ma profile.

An update is being made to replace “Bronze Job Ad – Unbranded” with “Agency Branded Job Ads”. This change will automatically update for all clients who are currently using “Bronze Job Ad – Unbranded”.
